PDP now under APC’s grip — Dino Melaye

Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is “dead and buried,” alleging that it is now being controlled by agents of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Monday night, Melaye—who is currently a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC)—claimed the PDP had been “sold” and no longer functions as an independent opposition party.

“PDP is gone. It was sold out, and I doubt if they even collected the receipt. What exists today is an APC-controlled PDP, managed directly from the Villa,” he said.

Melaye further argued that the party has lost its structure and direction, citing the comments of some governors who, according to him, have admitted there is no functioning PDP.

Expressing confidence in his new political platform, the ADC chieftain boasted that the party would unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

“I am a proud member of the ADC, and by the grace of God, we will send Tinubu out of the Villa on May 29, 2027,” he declared.
