The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed confidence that Plateau State will deliver more than one million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general election, citing growing support for the ruling party in the state.
Yilwatda made the claim during a stakeholders’ meeting in Pankshin, where he highlighted the APC’s expanding strength in Plateau.
He noted that several key political figures, including Governor Caleb Mutfwang and other elected officials, have aligned with the party, strengthening its grassroots influence.
According to the APC chairman, the party is now more unified in Plateau than in previous election cycles, with the opposition’s influence reportedly diminishing.
He described the APC’s growing numbers as a sign of widespread acceptance of Tinubu’s leadership and policies.
Stakeholders present at the meeting pledged their support for Tinubu, reaffirming their commitment to secure a significant share of votes for him in Plateau.
They also emphasised the importance of party unity and strategic mobilisation ahead of the 2027 polls.
