Police arrest armed robber during operation

The operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a suspected armed robber, identified as Isikilu Moses, while carrying out an operation in Joju in the Sango-Ota area of the state.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, made the disclosure via a statement issued on Sunday.

Oyeyemi stated that the suspected armed robber was arrested on Friday, following a distress call received at Sango-Ota Divisional Headquarters.

The police spokesperson explained that armed robbers had invaded Adebeshi Street, off Joju road, and dispossessed members of the community of their belongings.

“Upon the distress call, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Sango-Ota Division, SP Saleh Dahiru, quickly moblised his patrol team and moved to the scene.
