Police declare lawyer wanted over fraud

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has declared a lawyer, Emmanuel Chinyere Orji, wanted over allegations of fraud, obtaining money under a false pretence, conversion of funds and forgery.

The police made this known via a notice shared on X on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

The notice quoted the office of the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department, Force Headquarters in Abuja, as disclosing that Orji’s last business address is Unique Tress Law Firm, 7 Yar’Adua Drive, Owerri, Imo State.

Retired police officers to resume nationwide protest over pensions September 29  

The Force urged the members of the public to report the lawyer to the nearest police station upon sighting him.

“If seen, arrest and hand over to the nearest Police station, or to the office of the commissioner of Police, Special Enquiry Bureau (SEB), Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Force Headquarters, Abuja, or call 081 30826008, 08065331225,” the NPF stated.
