The Lagos State Police Command has declared a man, Tajudeen Bakare, wanted for wielding a pump action rifle and threatening public peace in the state.

The command declared Bakare, whose picture frame has the inscription “Oba Tajudeen Bakare (Oba Ogboni Abalaiye) Ajamajebi, the first President of the Supreme Body of Ogboni Association Worldwide”, wanted via a statement issued by its spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Thursday.

Hundeyin stated that the declaration followed the emergence of a viral video showing the man wielding a gun and threatening public peace in the Surulere area of Lagos State.

He said the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) led by the commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, worked on actionable intelligence and carried out a sting operation on the residence of the man in the Surulere area of Lagos.

Hundeyin, who hailed Lagosians for their vigilance and prompt information to security agencies, warned all troublemakers to steer clear of the state “as anyone found wanting would be dealt with in accordance with the law.”
