Police foil robbery at NYSC lodge in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command has thwarted an armed robbery attempt at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) lodge in Dass town, Dass Local Government Area.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday when unidentified hoodlums broke into the lodge at Bayan Padah through a window, allegedly targeting mobile phones.

Police patrol teams swiftly intervened, forcing the suspects to flee and abandon their mission.

One occupant, Dauda Yunusa, sustained minor injuries but was treated and discharged at Dass General Hospital.

Authorities say efforts are underway to track down the fleeing suspects.
