The Oyo State Police Command has elevated 159 Inspectors to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in recognition of their dedication, professionalism, and outstanding service.
Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adewale Osifeso, announced the promotion in a statement on Tuesday in Ibadan, noting that it reflects the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun’s commitment to rewarding exceptional performance.
During the decoration ceremony, Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, commended the newly promoted officers for their courage, professionalism, and commitment to duty.
He stressed that a structured reward system within the force is vital to motivating officers to pursue excellence.
“The promotion you have received today signifies recognition of your hard work and a reminder to uphold the values of professionalism and integrity in your career,” Haruna said.
The officers expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged to remain committed to the principles of the police force.
Osifeso reaffirmed the command’s dedication to promoting professionalism, rewarding merit, and building public trust.
Among the newly promoted officers are ASP Eriarehmhien Ayishat, ASP Coker Bunmi, and ASP Tina Osuoza.
