Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has revealed plans to return to school in a bid to gain better control over his music career and business ventures.
The Zazu crooner explained that although he already holds a National Diploma from Kwara State Polytechnic, he now wants to further his education to deepen his understanding of the music business.
Portable noted that the decision is driven by his desire to effectively manage his record label, Zeh Nation, and ensure his royalties and contracts are handled properly without overreliance on others.
“Even though I already have an OND from Kwara State Polytechnic, I want to further my education so I can understand my music royalties and business deals better, especially for my record label, Zeh Nation,” he said.
He added that his plan to return to school goes beyond obtaining another certificate, emphasizing that it is about acquiring the knowledge and skills needed to run his brand and label professionally.
