Real Madrid set to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund

Real Madrid are in advanced talks to sign England midfielder, Jude Bellingham, from Borussia Dortmund.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, made the disclosure via a series of tweets on his Twitter account on Wednesday, May 3.

He tweeted: Real Madrid are close to complete deal to sign Jude Bellingham, confirmed. Negotiations are progressing to the final stages.

“Personal terms are almost agreed — Juni Calafat, crucial again.

“New meeting has been scheduled to complete the agreement with Borussia Dortmund.”

Another tweet read: “Real Madrid hope to finalize Bellingham deal already this month as they did with Tchouameni — in order to avoid any late u-turn.

“Real feel agreement on personal terms is almost reached, as Jose Felix Diaz, Marca called — after Juni Calafat multiple meetings with player’s camp.”

Bellingham is set to be one of the most sought-after midfielders in the summer transfer window, with Manchester City also interested in the England midfielder.

Liverpool withdrew from the race to sign Bellingham earlier this year, with the club believing that paying upwards of £100 million on just one player is not the right strategy to rectify the drop-off in form they have suffered this season.

The 19-year-old, who has 11 goals and seven assists in all competitions for Dortmund this season and represented England at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, has been at the German club since the summer of 2020.
