Actress Regina Daniels has fired back at her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, accusing him of lies, manipulation, and abuse in a strongly worded statement shared on Saturday.
Responding to Nwoko’s earlier claims that her family and friends sabotaged her rehabilitation and fueled her drug use, Regina denied that her relatives had any involvement, saying he was using the “drug” narrative to divert attention from his own conduct.
“Fine, I did drugs. So what? That’s not our issue. You ran to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs’ because you knew it would make a perfect media story and distract everyone from the real problem,” she wrote.
Regina accused Nwoko of deliberately trying to isolate her from her family and friends to gain total control.
“You want to arrest everyone around me so I’ll have no one left — no support, no safe place — until I’m forced to come back to you,” she said.
She also alleged that the senator enabled her substance use for his own gratification, claiming he preferred her “high” because it made her “wild and romantic.”
In a series of shocking accusations, Regina accused Nwoko of sexual assault, confinement, and psychological abuse.
“You force yourself on me whenever I say no.
“You lock me up, seize my phones, and call me ‘mentally unstable’ when I say I no longer want to be with you,” she alleged.
Regina further claimed Nwoko coerced doctors to inject her with medication meant for patients with bipolar disorder and accused him of trying to silence her by cutting off communication with her family.
She insisted that their union was never legally recognized, stating, “I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage.
“We were never married in any court of law. No documents were signed.”
Declaring that she was done with the relationship, Regina urged Nwoko to stop trying to “control what no longer belongs” to him.
“Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force. Leave me alone, Ned,” she concluded, adding that she has found strength despite the ordeal and is ready to move on from what she described as a toxic relationship.
