Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has dismissed social media reports claiming that she died, saying she is alive, healthy and safe.
The actress responded to the reports in a video shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, where she urged fans to disregard the information circulating online.
“Please note that I am alive. I did not have any accident, and I am safe,” Kadiri said.
She described the reports as false and appealed to her followers not to spread unverified claims about her.
“I am alive and healthy,” she added.
Kadiri also urged her fans to report social media accounts responsible for circulating the false reports, saying this would help limit the spread of the rumour.
The death hoax comes amid the actress’s ongoing promotion of her latest film project, Once Upon a Village, which she has been featuring across her digital platforms.
She recently released the fifth episode of the series on RuthKadiri247, with actors including Henrietta Ibekwe and Deza The Great featuring in the production.
Kadiri has built a significant online audience through her film platforms, where she regularly publishes original Nollywood productions and related behind-the-scenes content.
