Omotayo Sanyaolu, the Senior Special Assistant on Tertiary Education, Youths and Students Affairs to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been confirmed dead.
The death of the governor’s aide was confirmed via a statement issued on Friday by the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) Dr, Femi Oke-Osanyantolu.
The LASEMA boss said Sanyaolu died in an auto crash around Army Cantonment, Ikeja, Lagos State in the early hours of Friday.
Oke-Osanyantolu said the governor’s aide died after his vehicle rammed into the Keystone Bank ATM around the cantonment.

“Unfortunately, an adult male, Sanyanolu, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle died on impact and his remains were immediately bagged upon arrival of emergency responders.
“These have been handed over to the cantonment officer on duty (Officer Musa).
“The affected vehicle was recovered with the aid of LASEMA’s light towing vehicle to a lay-by,” he disclosed.
