Segun Arinze to host big concert 2.0 featuring Bright Chimezie, Chief Barrister Smooth

Abuja is set to come alive as veteran actor and show host Segun Arinze takes the stage to anchor Big Concert 2.0, one of the city’s most anticipated live music events of the year.

The grand concert, organised by Shyne Band, will be held at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, promising an unforgettable evening of music, culture, and nostalgia.

Headlining the show are Nigerian music legends Bright Chimezie, famed for his electrifying Zigima sound, and Chief Barrister Smooth, popularly known as the “Paddle of the Niger Delta.”

Other top performers will also thrill the audience with a blend of Afro-highlife, jazz, and classic Nigerian hits that celebrate the country’s rich musical heritage.

According to the organisers, The Big Concert seeks to revive the culture of live performances and showcase the artistry of musicians who have shaped Nigeria’s music industry over the decades.

Tickets are already on sale, with categories for regular, VIP, and premium table reservations.

The organisers described the event as “a night of culture, music, and history,” designed to honour the enduring appeal of live music in an era dominated by digital entertainment.

Host Segun Arinze expressed excitement about being part of a project that connects generations of music lovers.

“Live music is one of Nigeria’s most powerful art forms.

“It brings people together and keeps our culture alive,” he said.

Entertainment analysts predict that Big Concert 2.0 will further boost Abuja’s entertainment scene, drawing music lovers and high-profile guests from across the country.

With its star-studded lineup, experienced host, and vibrant audience, Big Concert 2.0 is poised to deliver one of the most memorable nights of the year for lovers of authentic Nigerian music.
