Senate confirms Buhari’s aide, Lauretta Onochie, as NDDC chair

The Senate has confirmed the nomination of Lauretta Onochie, the Special Assistant on Social Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, as the Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The Senate, at the plenary on Tuesday, also confirmed 14 other nominees as board members of the NDDC.

Both the Senate and House of Representatives Committees on Niger Delta had earlier screened Onochie alongside 14 others for the NDDC board roles.
