The senator representing Enugu North Senatorial District, Okey Ezea, has been confirmed dead.
It was gathered that the senator elected on the platform of the Labour Party (LP) passed away on Tuesday night.
The senator’s son, Jideofor, in a statement issued on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, disclosed that the lawmaker died in a private hospital in Lagos.

Ezea became the second serving senator from the South-East to die within two years, following the demise of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of Anambra State, who also passed away in London in July 2024 at the age of 52.
