Soludo’s wife threatens legal action, dares Ekwunife to DNA test over alleged infidelity

Nonye Soludo, wife of Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo, has threatened legal action against the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Uche Ekwunife, over allegations of infidelity.

In a statement, Mrs. Soludo dismissed the claims as “fabricated lies” aimed at tarnishing her reputation and dragging her family into political mudslinging.

She gave Ekwunife 72 hours to retract the remarks and issue a public apology or face legal consequences.

Mrs. Soludo challenged the former senator to swear an oath of fidelity and chastity before the Blessed Virgin Mary and submit her children for paternity tests.

She stated: “Since Uche Ekwunife claims to be a converted Catholic, I challenge her for both of us to swear an oath of fidelity and chastity at any cathedral in front of the Blessed Sacrament and the Bible.

“I will swear (with my children) that in my 55 years on earth, I have known only one man, Chukwuma Soludo. On your part, you should also swear (with your children or your political ambitions) that since you got married, you have never cheated on your husband.”

The governor’s wife proposed that the DNA tests be conducted in three reputable London hospitals, offering to cover all costs and promising a cash reward if the results confirm Ekwunife’s husband fathered all her children.

Mrs. Soludo also defended her personal integrity, stating she married Governor Soludo as a virgin, had remained faithful throughout their 33-year marriage, and had never worked in government nor depended on public funds.

“My weapons are decency, character, and grace. I am a long-distance runner, and I welcome you to the marathon,” she noted.

The confrontation follows a war of words triggered by Governor Soludo’s questioning of Ekwunife’s academic qualifications, which prompted a sharp response from the APC candidate and drew the First Lady into the fray.
