The former Senior Pastor of the City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, has reportedly established a new ministry, Family Fellowship, in Lagos State.
This is coming after the suspension of Iluyomade, who was also the head of the Apapa Family of the RCCG, from the church.
The cleric was suspended from the church in June 2024.
According to sources, Pastor Iluyomade was suspended by the Governing Council of the church. A panel was also been set up to investigate some of the allegations against him and the parish.
RCCG, Adeboye, Iluyomades and the ultimate reconciliation
A top pastor in the church, who craved anonymity, disclosed that the decision to suspend Iluyomade was a response to the public outcry against the extravagant birthday party of his wife shortly after the death of the late Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe.
However, the cleric, in a video making rounds on social media, was seen joyfully dancing with members of his new congregation, marking the beginning of his new ministry after his departure from the RCCG.
Pastor Iluyomade was known for his dynamic leadership and impactful sermons during his tenure at the City of David Parish, one of the most prominent branches of the RCCG.
His new ministry is expected to attract a significant following as he continues his mission of faith and family-centred worship.
