Teenager, 2 others die in Lagos building collapse

A teenager and two other males have been confirmed dead in the building collapse at Northern Vulture Estate, Chevron Drive in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

The building collapse was confirmed by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

LASEMA, in a statement issued by its Permanent Secretary, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said six people were also injured in the incident.

Teenager stabs uncle over advice against alcohol

Oke-Osanyintolu stated: “A young boy, about 15 years old, and two adult males recovered were confirmed dead and subsequently bagged by emergency responders.

“They were handed over to SEHMU officials. Also, six victims were rescued alive and attended to by the medical team.

“The collapsed building has been completely demolished and brought to ground zero and search and rescue operation concluded.”
