Teenager stabs 18-year-old friend to death in Ondo

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested one Johnson Daniel for allegedly stabbing his 18-year-old friend, Ariyo Amos Timilehin, to death in Owo, Owo Local Government Area of the state.

The command’s spokesman, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, disclosed this via a statement issued on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

The duo were known to be close friends and were frequently seen together around the neighbourhood.

Jimoh said preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was allegedly stabbed during an argument with his friend on March 6.

He stated: “Timilehin was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owo, where he was confirmed dead on arrival by a medical doctor.

“Police detectives visited the scene and recovered the knife suspected to have been used in the attack, while the suspect has been arrested.

“The case has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.”
