Terrorists abduct Nasarawa chief judge’s aide

Terrorists have abducted Mr. Enock Maku, Senior Special Assistant on Information and Protocol to the Chief Judge of Nasarawa State, in the Agyaragu area of Lafia Local Government Area.

The incident, which occurred late Wednesday night, sparked panic among residents of the community.

Confirming the attack, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ramhan Nansel, said security operatives swiftly responded and engaged the attackers in a gun duel. Two kidnapped victims were rescued during the confrontation, but Maku was taken away by the assailants.

“The command has launched a full-scale investigation and manhunt to ensure the safe return of Mr. Maku,” Nansel said, adding that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators.

He also urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies, assuring the public that everything is being done to secure Maku’s release.

This latest abduction has heightened concerns over insecurity in the region, renewing calls for increased protection of government officials and stronger community vigilance.
