The suspects were on Tuesday brought before the Ejioku Magistrate Court in Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State and subsequently remanded at the Agodi Correctional Centre.
According to the Chairman of the state Fire Service, Maroof Akinwande, the incident occurred at Atari-Agbon in the Oki area of Olodo, where hoodlums reportedly attacked fire service personnel and looted valuables at the scene of the emergency.
Akinwande said one of the officers sustained injuries during the assault and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Providing an update, he confirmed that three suspects had been arraigned on charges of assault, conspiracy, and conduct likely to breach public peace, while other suspects remain at large.
“Three people were arraigned at the Ejioku Magistrate’s Court for assaulting fire officers at Oki. They have been remanded at Agodi prison, while others are still being sought,” he said.
