President Bola Tinubu has celebrated Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka on his 91st birthday, describing him as a global literary icon and a profound source of inspiration to Nigeria and the world.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Soyinka’s lifelong contributions to literature, education, human rights, and national development.

“Professor Soyinka is an uncommon patriot who has continued to demonstrate his undying love for our country,” Tinubu said.
“Even at 91, he remains a beacon of inspiration to citizens and writers across the world.”
