President Bola Tinubu on Monday commissioned the new Court of Appeal Abuja Division Building Complex in Dakibiyu, Abuja, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to strengthening the judiciary through improved infrastructure and reforms.
Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the President described the complex as a major milestone under the Renewed Hope Agenda and a symbol of the government’s dedication to the rule of law.
“This is not just a building. This is a statement that under the Renewed Hope Agenda, the rule of law will have a befitting home,” Tinubu said.
The facility features two large courtrooms, eight smaller courtrooms, a library, judges’ suites, conference halls and administrative offices.
Tinubu praised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for delivering the project within record time and said the complex would improve access to justice, ease court congestion and strengthen democratic institutions.
He also assured judicial officers of continued government support, saying the administration remains committed to improving judicial welfare and infrastructure.
Court of Appeal President, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, described the project as a transformative intervention that would significantly enhance the administration of justice, noting that the Abuja Division had long operated with inadequate facilities despite its heavy caseload.
