Tinubu hails Femi Otedola’s contributions to Nigeria’s economy on his birthday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Femi Otedola, on his birthday, praising his immense contributions to Nigeria’s economic development and social impact.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu commended Otedola’s visionary leadership, entrepreneurship, and investments, particularly in the energy sector, which have significantly advanced national growth.

The President described the Geregu Power Plc Chairman as a model of excellence in Nigeria’s private sector, whose innovation, discipline, and commitment to corporate responsibility continue to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs.

Beyond his business exploits, President Tinubu lauded Otedola’s dedication to philanthropy, highlighting his support for education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, and his consistent efforts to improve lives across the country.

“As you add another year, I am particularly impressed by your decision to document for posterity that it is possible to defy the odds, no matter how stacked they are against you,” the President said.

He prayed for God’s continued blessings, good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments for Otedola as he continues to serve Nigeria and humanity.
