Tinubu meets Jonathan, Akpabio at Aso Rock

President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, June 13, met with former President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The purpose of the meeting could not be immediately ascertained.

Tinubu, after the meeting with Jonathan, met with the newly inaugurated Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and some other government officials.

Akpabio emerged as the President of the 10th Senate on Tuesday, defeating a former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari.

Akpabio, a former governor of Akwa Ibom State and ex-Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, polled 63 votes, while Yari garnered 46 votes.

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, is also at the State House to meet with Tinubu.

Uzodimma was accompanied by his Lagos State counterpart, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the immediate past governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje.
