Troops destroy terrorists’ structures, arrest logistics suppliers in Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have destroyed terrorist life-support structures and arrested two suspected Boko Haram logistics suppliers during a clearance operation in Sabon Gari Fishingo area of Borno State.

Security sources said the operation was carried out at about 8:30 p.m. on February 28 by troops of Sector 2 in collaboration with quasi-security forces.

During the operation, the troops reportedly made contact with terrorists at Kayawa village and engaged them with superior firepower. The insurgents were forced to retreat in disarray.

In the aftermath of the encounter, the fleeing terrorists abandoned two motorcycles and five bicycles at the scene.

No casualties were recorded among the troops.
