Uba Sani appoints Balarabe Lawal as SSG, Sani Liman as Chief of Staff

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has retained the immediate past Secretary to the State Government, Balarabe Lawal.

Sani said Lawal was retained over his vast experience in governance to assist in the smooth take-off of his administration.

The governor, in a statement issued on Tuesday, May 30, by his Chief Press Secretary, Mohammed Shehu, also retained some other senior members of the Nasir El-Rufai’s administration.

Muhammad Hafiz Bayero was appointed as Senior Advisor Counsellor to the Governor, while James Atung Kanyip and Chris Umar will serve as Deputy Chiefs of Staff to the Governor.

Dr Shehu Usman Muhammad and Bulus Banquo Audu were also appointed as Counsellors to the Governor.

Governor Sani also appointed the immediate past Comptroller of Immigration Service, Kano State Command, Sani Liman, as his Chief of Staff.

Before his deployment to Kano, Liman was the Comptroller of Immigration Service, Kaduna State Command.

Habiba Anana Shekarau was appointed as the new Head of Service.

Sani, however, urged the appointees to see their appointments as a call to duty, saying the people of Kaduna State expect results.
