Uba Sani: Kaduna will be haven of peace

Governor Uba Sani has reaffimed his administration’s commitment to making Kaduna State a model of peace, development, and inclusivity in Nigeria.

The governor stated that despite isolated attacks by bandits, Kaduna remains one of the safest states in the country, noting that the state’s Peace Model has been widely acknowledged as a viable framework for security and stability.

Speaking on Saturday during the commissioning of the Magajiya–Kasuwan Amaru Zaria township road, Uba Sani said his government would not relent until all communities in the state enjoy lasting peace and tranquillity.

“Despite occasional attacks by bandits, Kaduna State remains one of the safest states in Nigeria. Our Peace Model is hailed as a pathway to peace and security,” he said.

He assured residents that his administration is committed to prudent management of public resources, stressing that every naira spent must translate into visible and meaningful development.

The governor urged members of the community to take ownership of the newly commissioned road, noting that protecting public infrastructure is key to ensuring its durability.

In Zaria city, Uba Sani also commissioned the Audi–Kako road, recalling his pledge at his inauguration on May 29, 2023, to ensure equitable distribution of development projects across Kaduna State.

He reiterated that quality road infrastructure is central to economic growth, as it enhances mobility, links communities and businesses, and connects farmers, students, and patients to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities.

“In keeping with that pledge, our administration has initiated and is delivering a wide range of infrastructure projects across both urban and rural areas of the state,” the governor said.

He explained that the goal of the projects is to create an enabling environment that improves livelihoods, boosts productivity, and reduces poverty, particularly among the poor and vulnerable.

The governor recalled that he performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the road in Zaria on March 6, 2025, expressing satisfaction that the project was completed and commissioned in less than a year.

“This road is more than a stretch of asphalt; it is a pathway to opportunity, linking people to markets, schools, and healthcare, and improving the quality of life for residents of Zaria and beyond,” he said.

According to Uba Sani, the commissioning of the roads reflects the steady progress being made by his administration and underscores a shared commitment to a better future for Kaduna State.
