Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has approved the appointment of three commissioners, 45 aides and 40 members of various boards as part of efforts to strengthen governance and accelerate ongoing reforms in the state.

The appointments were announced in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ibraheem Musa, on Thursday.

Musa said the new appointees were expected to support the administration’s transformational agenda, improve public service delivery and promote sustainable economic growth.

Among the newly appointed commissioners is the Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation, Ben Kure, who will head the Ministry of Sports Development.

Amina Akilu Dalhat was appointed Commissioner for Special Duties I, while Abdullahi Garba Abbas will serve as Commissioner for Special Duties II.

The governor also appointed the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Dr Haliru Soba, as Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration.

Sani approved the appointment of new chairmen and members for several key state boards.

Those appointed include Alhaji Munir Jafaru as Chairman of the Kaduna State Health Care Board and Air Vice Marshal Bashir Gamagira Saidu as Chairman of the Kaduna Vigilance Service Board.

Others are retired Justice Gideon Isa Kurada, who will chair the College of Education, Gidan Waya; Esther Bago, Chairman of the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development; Dr Yusuf Aliyu Bature, Chairman of the Kaduna Hospital Supply Management Agency; and Engineer Namadi Musa, Chairman of the Kaduna Rural Access Roads Authority.

According to the statement, the governor congratulated the appointees and said they were selected based on their records of excellence, integrity and commitment to public service.

Sani urged them to bring fresh ideas to their assignments, shun complacency and work in line with his administration’s vision of building a transformed and resilient Kaduna State.

He also prayed for divine guidance and wisdom for the appointees in the discharge of their responsibilities.
