Uba Sani’s leadership brings peace, inclusion to Kaduna — Commissioner

Kaduna State has experienced a significant transformation in governance, characterized by fairness, equity, and inclusion under Governor Uba Sani’s administration, according to the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. James Kanyip.

Speaking during an interdenominational prayer service held at the United English Baptist Church to mark the governor’s mid-term anniversary, Dr. Kanyip described Governor Sani as a “God-fearing leader” whose administration has prioritized peace, unity, and citizen engagement.

“In the past two years, Kaduna State has witnessed a paradigm shift in leadership.

“The governor has ensured that every citizen—regardless of faith, ethnicity, or region—has a voice in his administration,” Kanyip said.

He cited the inclusive approach in government appointments and the even distribution of developmental projects across the state as proof of the governor’s commitment to servant leadership.

Reflecting on the state’s security, Dr. Kanyip expressed gratitude for the “precious gift of peace,” noting that the state, once marred by violent ethno-religious conflicts, has now become more peaceful and united.

“Through purposeful leadership and your sustained prayers, peace has been restored, nurtured, and is steadily blossoming across our land,” he told the congregation.

Dr. Kanyip, a Knight of Saint Mulumba, also praised the governor’s commitment to engaging citizens through town hall meetings, grassroots consultations, and policy dialogues, ensuring that public input shapes government decisions.

“Governor Uba Sani regularly engages religious and community leaders, not just as stakeholders, but as partners in progress.

“This is leadership that listens, unites, and uplifts,” he added.

He thanked religious leaders and the Christian community for their spiritual support and intercession for the peace and development of the state, encouraging continued prayers for wisdom and guidance for those in authority.

On behalf of the governor, Kanyip assured the people of Kaduna of a government that prioritizes justice, service, and the welfare of all citizens above political or sectarian considerations.

“Security is improving, and our communities are safer. Our people are more hopeful.

“Our economy is showing signs of progress.

“These are the fruits of intentional, inclusive, and people-centered governance,” he concluded.
