The Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of United Bank for Africa (UBA), United Bank for Africa chief executive Oliver Alawuba has been honoured alongside top public officials and business leaders at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) 2026 Annual Dinner and Awards Night in Lagos.

The event also recognised Niger State Governor Umar Mohammed Bago, Accountant-General of the Federation Shamseldeen Ogunjimi, and other notable Nigerians for their contributions to economic growth, governance, and professional excellence.

Held over the weekend, the ceremony brought together senior figures from government and the private sector to celebrate individuals and organisations driving Nigeria’s financial and economic development.
