VIDEO: PalmPay agents apprehend student over unpaid loan on campus

A video circulating on social media shows representatives of PalmPay confronting a student at Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, over an alleged loan default.

In the footage, two individuals wearing the company’s branded T-shirts are seen escorting the young man out of the campus while he appears to resist, drawing the attention of bystanders.

The scene has raised concerns about the recovery tactics reportedly used by some digital lending platforms.

The incident has sparked widespread debate online, with many users criticising what they described as an aggressive and embarrassing approach to debt recovery, while others maintained that borrowers should meet their repayment obligations.

Some commenters also questioned the authenticity of the video, suggesting it could have been staged.

As reactions continue, the episode has intensified discussions about acceptable practices for loan enforcement and customer rights.
