A middle-aged woman has reportedly slumped and died while brushing her teeth in Abaji, the headquarters of the Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
It was gathered that the woman, identified simply as Iya Bolu, slumped while brushing her teeth at about 7 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025.
A resident of the area disclosed that the woman, who was a petty trader, was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead.
The resident, who declined to be named, added that the woman’s husband, a panel beater, had already gone to work when the incident occurred.

He said the deceased was believed to be hale and hearty before the incident.
He revealed that the woman’s remains had been deposited at the hospital morgue, from where it would be taken to Ondo State for burial.
“Unfortunately, the woman was preparing to travel to Ondo State for the burial of her mother at the end of this month when this happened,” the resident told Daily Trust.
