No fewer than two persons were killed, while many others were injured at the venue of the House of Assembly primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Alimosho area of Lagos State on Friday.
It was gathered that the incident occurred after violence erupted at the venue of the exercise after the announcement of the election results by the electoral officer.
The incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Saturday.
Hundeyin identified the deceased as Muftau Ogunlaye, aged 44; and 42-year-old Suraju Dauda.

He, however, noted that no arrest has been made by the police.
“Two persons were killed. They were Muftau Ogunlaye, 44, and Suraju Dauda, 42. No arrest has been made yet.
“A primary election was being held in the area. After the announcement of the results, they started fighting,” the police spokesperson stated.
