The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expanded President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign council with new appointments across its directorates, mobilisation structures and operational units ahead of the general election.
The party announced the supplementary list on Wednesday in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, saying the appointments were intended to strengthen coordination across the campaign council.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby releases a supplementary list of leadership and membership of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), expanding the composition of the Council ahead of the 2027 general election,” the statement read.
The party said the new appointments cut across various directorates, sectoral groups, mobilisation structures and operational units.
It added that it remained committed to ensuring effective coordination among the council’s different components as preparations for the 2027 elections intensify.
The latest expansion builds on earlier efforts to broaden the campaign structure beyond the party’s core leadership.
The initial council membership was unveiled in August 2026, with Tinubu as chairman, Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, as vice chairmen. Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, was named director-general, while Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, was appointed secretary.
A revised list issued in October further expanded the council under a coalition arrangement that included prominent politicians outside the APC.
Among those named were Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, as campaign coordinator for Rivers State and the FCT; Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, as Osun coordinator; and Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, as Anambra coordinator.
The council was formally inaugurated on October 14, 2026, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Subsequent expansions added directorates and units responsible for election planning and monitoring, infrastructure mobilisation, health sector engagement, civil society, new media, extractive industries, entertainment, security and intelligence, artisan mobilisation, labour relations and faith-based groups.
The latest supplementary list continues the expansion of the campaign structure as the APC prepares for Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The party released details of the additional appointments through its official channels.
