Atiku’s ally, Daniel Bwala, parleys Tinubu in Paris

A staunch supporter of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Daniel Bwala, has met with President Bola Tinubu in Paris, France.

Bwala, a lawyer and former spokesperson to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar, stated that he met with President Tinubu in Paris on Monday, January 29, 2024.

He made the disclosure in a post on his official X page.

Bwala wrote: “It was a pleasure to meet with the father of the nation @officialABAT President Bola Tinubu in Paris today. He continues to share his thoughts and demonstrate his passion to lead Nigeria out of the woods.”

A day earlier, on Sunday, January 28, Bwala had defended Tinubu on the withdrawal of Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso from ECOWAS.

He wrote: “The withdrawal of the three West African nations from

“Nigeria is not at war with both blocs, so we are good and President Tinubu would find a path for lasting peace in ECOWAS. Let’s focus on our nation and together as a people we would find solutions to our age long problems. Make dem dey there dey and make we dey our dey.”

Bwala, a member of the PDP, had met with Tinubu at the State House on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, and pledged his support for the president.

He, however, disclosed to State House correspondents that he came on the invitation of President Tinubu.

Bwala said: “I honoured the invitation of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is a father to the nation, who God has given the opportunity to lead the country at this difficult time. So I came to celebrate and congratulate him.

“I also gave him my commitment that as citizens of this country, this is the time for us to throw our weight behind and support the administration.”
