The Chief of Defence Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, has arrived in Zamfara State on an operational visit to the Headquarters of the Joint Task Force, Operation Fansa Yamma.
The visit is part of efforts to reinforce ongoing military operations aimed at tackling banditry and other security threats in the North-West region.
On arrival, the defence chief was received by senior military commanders and top officers of the operation and was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour.
The visit highlights the commitment of the Defence Headquarters to boosting troop morale and consolidating progress made in addressing insecurity.
During the trip, Oluyede is expected to assess ongoing operations, engage with troops, and review strategies to strengthen security efforts in Zamfara and surrounding areas.
