The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested two brothers and 23 other suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos State.

This was disclosed via a statement issued and made available to The Star on Monday by the EFCC Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren.

Uwujaren stated that four suspects were arrested at Palmcity Estate in the Lekki area of Lagos State on August 10, while 21 others were nabbed at City-View Estate along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on August 12, 2022.

He noted that the suspected internet fraudsters were arrested following credible intelligence gathered by the anti-graft agency on their alleged involvement in computer-related fraud.

The arrested suspects are Oyewole Damilola, Ovin Adekunle, Ovin Nicholas, Ridwan Iyiola, Aregbesola Tobiloba, Oladosu Saheed, Oseni Omotara, Abel Durotimi, Oyeneye Rilwan Adetola, Omoregbe Destiny Nosa, and Evbonaye Olaleye.

Others include Adeyemo Abiola, Temitope Ajetonmobi, Dare-Ilori Oreoluwa David, Adekanye Ayodeji Ezekiel, Osagie Harry Odosa, and Arowolo Oluwafemi Isaac.

Others are Agbaje Jackson Babatunde, Owolabi Temiloluwa Dominion, Fadipe Biodun Idris, Agbayo Moshood Oriyomi, Sylvester Evans, Oshokoya Olaoluwa Muritalah, Omotoye Collins Oluwaseun, and Hassan Abdulwahab Oladimeji.

The EFCC spokesperson added that items such as exotic vehicles, laptops, and mobile phones were recovered from the suspects.

Uwujaren stated that the suspects have volunteered their statements, adding that they would soon be charged to court.
