El-Rufai inaugurates Kaduna 2023 transition committee

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on Tuesday, April 18, inaugurated the State 2023 Transition Committee.

Speaking at the event held at the Government House in Kaduna, El-Rufai said the 65-person committee will prepare the roadmap for implementing the SUSTAIN manifesto of the incoming government which has at its core a governance agenda to continue the progress recorded in the state since 2015.

The governor said the committee will also arrange the ceremonies to usher in the new government in the state on May 29, 2023.

The transition committee will be chaired by the incumbent Secretary to the State Government, Balarabe Abbas Lawal, who was the chairman of the transition committee in 2015 and vice-chairman in 2019.

The Permanent Secretary of Cabinet and Political Affairs, Nuhu Isyaku Buzun, will also serve as the committee’s secretary.
