The senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Teslim Folarin, has emerged the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2023 gubernatorial election in Oyo State.
Folarin clinched the APC governorship ticket after winning the primaries held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Friday.
He was declared winner having polled 954 votes.
Folarin’s challenger, Adebayo Adelabu, who was absent from venue of the primary election, had 327 delegates votes.
Akeem Agbaje came third in the primaries with 15 votes, Hakeem Alao had 06 votes, Azeez Adeduntan got 02 votes, while Niyi Akintola had zero vote.
