The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed former Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari as the new chairman of the party’s 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee.
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who was initially named chairman of the committee, has been reassigned to serve as treasurer.
This was announced via the committee’s list released by the APC on Friday, February 6, 2026.

“Adjusted 2026 APC National Convention Central Coordination Committee, with changes to its leadership and membership based on zoning exigencies,” the ruling party captioned the list.
The party also appointed former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim as vice chairman I, expanding the committee’s membership from 73 to 90 members to accommodate more party leaders.
Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, was appointed as the committee’s vice chairman II, while the Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni retained his position as the secretary of the committee.
