Popular television host Frank Edoho has revealed that one of his greatest fears is dying as a result of emotional pain caused by a woman.
His remarks come amid a public dispute with his estranged wife, Sandra Onyenucheya, who recently made allegations of infidelity, abuse, and financial misconduct against him.
Speaking in an interview on the YouTube channel Outside The Box, published on Saturday, Edoho reflected on male vulnerability, silent struggles, and how he hopes to be remembered.
“I don’t want to get to heaven and be told a woman caused my death—whether it’s my wife, mother, or even daughter. I don’t want that to define my exit from this world,” he said.
The broadcaster, best known for hosting the Nigerian version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, said he would rather be remembered for a life of impact and kindness than one overshadowed by heartbreak.
“I want to die with a smile, knowing I made people happy. My only regret should be that I could have done more good—not that I needed more time,” he added.
The comments follow recent claims by Onyenucheya, who accused Edoho of repeated infidelity during their marriage, naming individuals she alleged he was involved with. She also alleged emotional abuse, misuse of her finances, and pressure to terminate a pregnancy.
Edoho, in his response, denied the accusations and countered that Onyenucheya had been unfaithful, alleging she had an affair with singer Chike. He claimed to have evidence and said he had confronted the singer in an effort to salvage the marriage.
However, during the Outside The Box interview, Edoho avoided addressing the allegations directly, choosing instead to speak on the emotional burden many men carry.
“The responsibility of being a man is heavy. Men go through a lot but often stay silent. Many carry their struggles to the grave,” he said.
He also disclosed that he endured a deeply difficult period for about two years without sharing his struggles with anyone.
“There was a time I was in a very dark place, but no one knew. I felt it was a journey I had to go through alone to rebuild myself. At that point, it felt like everything was collapsing,” he said.
Edoho attributed his ability to mask personal struggles to his broadcasting career, which trained him to remain composed under pressure.
“No matter what you’re facing, once you’re on air, you must perform. But in real life, it’s not that easy to switch off,” he noted.
His marriage to Onyenucheya is his second. He was previously married to broadcaster Katherine Obiang, a union that also ended in separation.
Edoho had earlier confirmed that he and Onyenucheya had been separated for nearly two years before the recent public fallout.
