Prominent Kannywood filmmaker and director, Malam Aminu Saira, has married a second wife.
Saira tied the knot in a wedding ceremony held on Friday, August 31, 2026, in Azare, Bauchi State.
The wedding attracted colleagues, fans and key figures in the Kannywood industry, many of whom took to social media to congratulate the filmmaker and wish the couple well.
Photos from the ceremony, including images of Saira with his two wives, have since gone viral, generating mixed reactions online over the practice of polygamy.
Reacting to one of the photos, a social media user, Aisha Lawal, praised the filmmaker, describing him as “the perfect definition of a strong man.”
She wrote, “This is the perfect definition of a STRONG MAN.
“They do not allow the fear of their first wives to prevent them from doing the needful or hurt their second wives just to make their first wives happy.
“They exercise their power and authority as the head of the family to unite their first and second wives like this.”
