The traditional ruler of Aghara in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, David Obadofin, has reportedly died in kidnappers’ den.
It was gathered that the monarch, who was kidnapped on Easter Sunday, April 9, died last Thursday as a result of torture from his abductors.
The abductors of the monarch, a cashew farmer, were said to have agreed to collect N2 million for his release and a lady who was kidnapped alongside him, Temidayo Elewa, before they discovered that Obadofin was becoming too weak.
A family source further revealed that while waiting for the ransom to be delivered, the kidnappers blindfolded Elewa and relocated her to a different place in the bush in a bid to cover up their tracks.

The hoodlums were said to have freed the lady when they got the wind of the advancing search group of hunters, vigilantes, and some Fulani volunteers.
The traditional ruler was however said to have died in the kidnappers den last Thursday, 12 days after he was kidnapped by the gunmen.
