Lagos building collapse death toll rises to 3

No fewer than three persons have been confirmed dead in the building collapse in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Permanent Secretary, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed this in a statement on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

Oke-Osanyintolu said three people trapped under the collapsed building were recovered dead.

He added that nine adult males were rescued and rushed to LASEMA Pre-Hospital Care Unit.

“The cause of the collapsed building is yet to be ascertained,” the LASEMA boss said.
