Man dies after dispute at snooker joint in Nasarawa

A man has died following an alleged assault during a dispute at a snooker facility in Ombi 1 area of Lafia, Nasarawa State.

Sources said the incident was reported at about 6:00 a.m. on February 21 by a resident, Akulu Sunday, who alleged that his tenant, Precious Chinedu Madu, was struck with a stick during a misunderstanding with Ismail Abubakar, said to be the manager of the snooker joint.

The victim was rushed to a medical facility in Lafia for treatment but was confirmed dead on arrival by a doctor.

The suspect has since been taken into custody by authorities, while investigations are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

Officials said further updates would be provided as inquiries continue.
