Man kills brother during argument in Ondo

Fear has gripped residents of Onigbara river in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, as a man, identified as Daniel, killed his brother, Emmanuel, during an argument.

The tragic incident which has thrown the community into confusion and mourning, occurred during altercation between the two brothers on Monday evening.

A resident of the community, who pleaded anonymity, said the reason for the incident could not be ascertained.

“Till now, we don’t know what actually transpired between them that could have led him to kill his brother,” the resident said.

Further findings also revealed that the brothers are sons of a community police officer, popularly known as Awilo.

The Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the incident

Ayanlade said the Ondo State Commissioner of Police has ordered the case to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigative Department (SCID) in Akure, the state capital, for further and thorough investigation.
