Afrobeats star Mayorkun is gearing up to release his third studio album, Still The Mayor, on June 13, 2025.
The 12-track project will feature collaborations with eight artists, including five-time Grammy nominee Davido.
One of the standout tracks, Blessings on Blessings, will see Mayorkun reunite with Davido, continuing their long-standing musical partnership that has produced several hits over the years.
Ahead of the album release, Mayorkun dropped Reason 2 Japa in April—a socially conscious single addressing Nigeria’s economic and political challenges that have fueled a wave of mass emigration, popularly known as the “Japa” movement.

The track blends Amapiano rhythms with introspective lyrics, asking, “Tell me the reason not to japa,” as the singer highlights the struggles of young Nigerians seeking better opportunities abroad.
Still The Mayor follows his 2023 EP Love For Free, which included fan favorites like For Daddy and Low Key.
Known for his witty songwriting and infectious melodies, Mayorkun has been a dominant force in Afrobeats since his debut album The Mayor of Lagos, which featured hit tracks like Mama, Che Che, and Bobo featuring Davido.
His sophomore effort, Back In Office, produced the hit single Holy Father with Victony, further solidifying his status as a hitmaker.
With this new album, Mayorkun aims to reaffirm his position as one of Afrobeats’ leading voices.
