NAPTIP declares Speed Darlington wanted for rape, cyberbullying

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has declared controversial musician Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, wanted over alleged rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.

NAPTIP made the announcement on Friday through its official Instagram page, urging the public to assist in locating the entertainer.

“WANTED BY NAPTIP. Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, is wanted in connection with alleged offences including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking. Anyone with credible information on his whereabouts is urged to contact NAPTIP immediately via 07030000203 or info@naptip.gov.ng,” the agency stated.

The move follows Speed Darlington’s failure to honour an invitation for questioning after he claimed during a live Instagram session that he had engaged in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl.

A letter signed in May by the Head of NAPTIP’s Cybercrime Response Team, Ngamaraju Mangzha, had directed the singer to appear at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja by 9:00 a.m. on May 30, 2025. However, he failed to show up at the Wuse Zone 5 office.
