NYSC: 16 prospective corps members die in road crash

No fewer than 16 prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members from Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED), Ondo, have reportedly died in a road accident while traveling to the orientation camp in Gombe State.

It was gathered that two others from the institution were also injured in the accident.

The prospective corps members were said to be on board an 18-seater bus headed to the camp when the fatal crash occurred on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

EFCC arrests female pastor for naira abuse

The vehicle, it was learnt, veered out of control along a northern highway, leading to a crash.

The NYSC and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) had yet to speak on the incident as of press time.
